The Stelios Pissis Music Foundation was established in 2016 with a vision to preserve, promote, and perpetuate the legacy of Cypriot composer Stelios Pissis (1976–2024) in Cyprus and abroad, as well as to continue his mission to advance music education and culture.

Stelios Pissis was a truly unique composer who, despite his lifelong battle with muscular dystrophy, continued to compose and orchestrate his music using only the movement of his eyes. His strength of spirit, determination, and extensive and remarkable musical work placed him among the most significant composers of his generation and made him a source of inspiration for society at large.

Following his own encouragement, his family established the non-profit organization “Stelios Pissis Music Foundation” with the purpose of promoting music education and supporting, through musical and artistic initiatives, individuals facing life challenging circumstances.

Today, the Foundation continues Stelios Pissis’ vision and legacy, promoting music as a source of inspiration, hope, and humanity, a living message that creativity can transcend all limitations.

The Foundation remains committed to preserving and promoting the legacy of Stelios Pissis, faithfully upholding the values of music, culture, and social contribution.
