With Vasilis Lekkas and beloved artists, the 2nd Music Festival “Stelios Pissis at the Park” returns!
The Stelios Pissis Music Foundation is organizing the 2nd “Stelios Pissis in the Park” Music Festival on Sunday, 18 October 2026, from 16:00 to 21:00, at Stelios Pissis Park in Limassol, under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nikos Christodoulides. Admission is free for everyone.
The Festival returns for a second year, transforming the Park into a vibrant space for music, creativity and community gathering. Dedicated to the memory and work of Cypriot composer Stelios Pissis, it highlights the values that defined his life and music: love, giving, inclusion and the power of music to bring people together.
The program begins at 16:00 with the Amathounta Municipality Philharmonic Band, conducted by Panagiotis Stylianou, and continues with the “The Lighthouse of Love” Children’s Choir of the Holy Bishopric of Limassol, conducted by Salomi Riar; the musical presentation “Music Is for Everyone” by people with disabilities, under the guidance of Angela Neokleous Piourgouridou; the Choir of the Mesa Geitonia Municipal District, conducted by Marina Spyrou; the M.Y.Band Philharmonic, conducted by Kyriakos Costa; and the “Musical Paths” Choir, conducted by Michalis Hatzivasileiou, with Christina Papatziakou on piano.
At the same time, from 16:00 to 19:00, creative workshops for children will take place: “Getting to Know the Instruments of the Philharmonic Orchestra” with Kyriakos Costa, “Painting Music” with visual artist Salomi Pantelidou and her team, and “Making Rhythm Instruments from Recyclable Materials” with Angela Neokleous Pourgouridou, in collaboration with the Music Workshop of the Amathounta Municipality Open School.
At 18:00, the Official Welcome Ceremony will take place, during which the artwork created at last year’s Festival will be presented to the 2nd Primary School of Agios Athanasios, with the participation of the school choir. At the same time, BBF General Manager Lefteris Konstantinou will present the redevelopment plan for "Stelios Pissis" Park.
The Festival reaches its highlight at 19:00 with a major concert dedicated to the music of Stelios Pissis, featuring Vasilis Lekkas, Dimitris Fani, Sofia Patsalidou, Marina Verzanli, Mariam Venizelou, Christina Metaxa and Andriana Sergidou with the Sonora Vocal Ensemble, as well as Christina Papatziakou and Christina Pallikaropoulou.
The concert’s artistic direction is overseen by Dimitris Fani, while the Festival is hosted by Marina Filippidou and Loukas Christodoulides.
The volunteer group Parkvol is also participating in the event as the Festival’s Green Team, taking responsibility for the environmental care of the Park and supporting the creative activities.
The Festival is held with BBF as its Main Sponsor, with the support of Amathounta Municipality and supporting partners Scaffolding Solutions and Paradisiotis.
